Unlike non-government initiative, yesterday the Block Development Officer himself with the cooperation of Khanakul-I panchayat samity arranged for a blood donation camp at his office where 67 people had donated their blood including Sri Suprabhat Chatterjee, BDO himself.
Adding more some 250 saplings were planted in presence of Sri Arindam Niyogi, SDM, Arambagh as a move to encouraging the growing need of tree plantation all over the locality. People of all strata of society appreciated the move as a bliss after long socio-political imbalance in this block.
