On 23.02.2012 in presence of Block Development Officer of Khanakul -1Block Suprabhat Chatterjee, Sub-divisional Magistrate of Arambagh Arindam Niyogi launched three websites Tantisal G.P, Ghoshpur G.P & Pole -ll G.P
Actual plantation of VETIVER at UDNA on 25 Jan 2012 at 08.00 a.m
Actual plantation of VETIVER at UDNA Village under the Khanakul - I community development block will be held on25 January 2012 at 08.00 a.m sharp to prevent soil erosion from the embankment of the river Mundeswari. Vetiver is used most probably for the first time in the state to protect river embankment.
Ms. Sripriya Rengarajan, IAS, DM, Hooghly, representatives of the planning commission and the state P & RD are likely to attend the programme.

Vetiver Plantation
Initiation process like dressing of soil and slope making etc will be taken place at UDNA, a minority based village under Khanakul - 1 Block on 22 November 2011 to plant "VETIVER" for prventing soil erosion from the embankment of the river Mundeswari.
