Raid continues to destroy illegal country spirits

The Sun is about to rise. Chilling wind bites the dawn. Administration is still sleepless to combat with illegal supply of country spirit all over Arambagh. Sub-divisional Magistrate Arindam Niyogi, WBCS (Exe) along with Sub-divisional Police Officer Akash Magharia, IPS and Officer-in - Charge of Goghat police station has conducted a raid at about 05.30 a.m at Ballydewanganj and Damodarpur of Goghat -l block and destroyed 12000 litres of illicit country spirit and 500 litres of  fermanted wash in the two villages near to Paschim Medinipur district. One person is arrested so far. 

Illegal country spirit seized at Goghat

Morning starts today with a new hope when a team headed by Arindam Niyogi, SDM, Arambagh  has emptied more than 15000 litres of illegal country spirit at Kulia village under Goghat police station. The place is transit point of both Hooghly and Paschim Medinipur district. Anirban Som, BDO, Goghat -ll, Deputy Excise Collector, Circle Inspector of police and Officer in Charge of Goghat police station were the other members of the team that raided at 6.00 a.m today.
